Creative Girls Mentorship Program for Female Creatives 2018.

Application Deadline: 21st of March, 2018.

In the Creative/Professional world, meeting other individuals who have made significant progress in their lives and with their Art and Work is invaluable. It creates a paradigm shift as the young and inexperienced creative is exposed to resources, guides, angles and dreams that are achievable.
For Creative Girls has created a 2-month mentorship program for Female Creatives and Professional. The mentorship program has been developed to help upcoming artists and professional women get the guide, help and resources that they need to accelerate their growth in their chosen fields.

Makers, creators, social activists, and artists are thriving around the globe, and this mentorship program is tailored to help bridge the gap between female creatives uncomfortable with the stage their art and skills are currently at and those who have grown tremendously. The program is a One-on- One virtual mentorship guidance that will hold for 2 months causing accelerated growth in the selected candidates. During the program, chosen mentees get assigned to a Mentor, who will help shape their work for 2 months. Some of the Mentors include Award-winning Actress and Writer, Obehi Janice, Tosin Oshinowo, Mariama Camara and Ozoz Sokoh of Kitchen Butterfly.

For Creatives Girls is a semi-educational platform that provides all the resources and channels the Female Creative needs to grow and be successful. It is a platform for creative women to share insights about their creative processes (how they get things done and how they execute ideas), the way they get inspiration for their work and how to be profitable. Championing women engaged in the Creatives (Design, Arts, Writing, Painting, Photography etc), showcasing them and inspiring the aspiring female creatives to flourish. For Creative Girls is run by Gbemi Adekanmbi who is on a mission to make Female Creatives and Artists a living breathing part of how the world, organisations and societies run.

Application for the Mentorship program closes on the 21st of March, 2018. APPLY HERE

(Sergeant Kollin Cieadlo and Chief Bob Guthrie) Sergeant Kollin Cieadlo graduated from the  Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute (SBSLI)  yesterday after completing the 9-month course. Kollin joins many other Arcadia Police Department supervisors and managers who have attended this valuable program. The courses are offered through the  California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training  several times each year and alternate between northern and southern California. Kollin attended 3-4 day sessions each month. Students receive reading and research assignments for each session and demand a good deal of time and effort. Congratulations to Sergeant Kollin Cieadlo on his achievement. From the POST site:  The Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute (SBSLI) is a program designed to stimulate personal growth, leadership, and ethical decision-making in California law enforcement front-line supervisors. A Free Issue of Examine.com Research Digest

Examine.com is a website that provides unbiased information on supplements and nutrition.  They publish the Examine.com Research Digest (ERD), which reviews the latest studies in these areas.  I like ERD because it does a nice job of curating recent science, making it understandable and engaging for a broad audience, and explaining important background information.  They have no conflicts of interest because they don't sell anything except information.  I've been a scientific reviewer for ERD since the beginning. Examine.com is celebrating its fifth anniversary today.  To celebrate, they offered to put together a custom issue of ERD using five of my favorite articles.  I chose articles I thought my audience would enjoy.   You can download your free copy here  (PDF). If you like it and decide you want to sign up for ERD, there is a link in the PDF, or you can visit this page .  They're having a sale today, so if you're thinking about joining, ...
